Blackmail.

Another day, another month. It is crazy how fast time flies. We started out Labor Day weekend at Andrew's cousins wedding. We started the afternoon out at the bar and by the looks of it the girls had one too many kiddie cocktails. This picture will haunt them for the rest of their life. I can't wait to pull it out at awkward times, like when they start dating, their weddings, graduations... After the bar we headed to the reception where Abby had a great time dancing! She was out by 9:30, which is late for her, and passed out on dad.

The Blackmail photo.

The Delvaux siblings trying to recreate the picture of Abby and Kaiya. Nailed it.

The following weekend I worked and it was an Abby and Daddy weekend. Special things like this happened.

The following weekend we returned to GB for a bridal shower for Andrew's cousin and the Packer's home opener against the Jets. I do not think that I made it to a Packer game last year so I was excited to be going to the home opener. We packed up our tailgating food and beer at were in the tailgating lot by 11am. A little flip cup was played and we were headed into the game at 3. The worst part about tailgating is having to plan to use the restroom, as it is a 30 minute wait to use the 1 port-a-potty. The game was a lot of fun and they managed to pull off a win against the Jets, we did our best cheering them on, completed with me having a scratchy voice then next couple days.

Making sure the baby would not start crying. She'll make a good big sister someday.

Who knew these two could clean up so nicely.

Dexter, he is always confused when we stay up late.

That looks like a really manly drink.
Nothing like a port-a-potty selfie.

Oh hey, Andrew, what are you doing in there?

The "horseshoe," it was delicious.
The following weekend Drew and Jenny made the 4 hour trek out to Minneapolis to spent some time with us. Like always we stayed up way to late, went out the next night, played some hammershlagen and came home and passed out. It was a fun weekend, I only wish that I had taken more pictures.

We were really awesome at hammerschlagen that night.

Quick picture before the Packer's played that Sunday.

The last weekend in September we trekked back down to Milwaukee to celebrate our niece turning 3! She had a cute mermaid themed birthday party and got to wear the cutest and most puffy dress I've seen! I'd have to say the cake was decorated to perfection (I decorated it). Everyone had fun and Kaiya made out like a bandit with all her gifts!

Abby trying out Kaiya's scooter.

The grandparents took the kids on a walk. Abby likes to stroll slowly along with her hands in her pockets.

And finally just a couple random shots from September. October has also come and gone and was filled with hay rides, pumpkin picking, Halloween, and a nice warm trip to Tampa, but we'll save that for a different time.

Making and eating the cookie dough.

Delicious butter.

Doing mom's hair. She was "extra" gentle.

2 Months of photos.

Well summer is gone, it is 54 degrees outside right now and it is freezing! To help remind me of warmer days I figured posting a whole bunch of summer picture was appropriate, that and I'm 2 months behind in my blogging. Time to catch up. We spent the 4th of July up at the cabin with my parents. It was fun, relaxing, and Abby loved it. She ate up all the watermelon and tried to ride  a bike from the 1950's, and then made Andrew and I ride the bike. Abby slept through the fireworks that night, but we did sneak in a couple snakes and sparklers before bedtime.

Practicing for the Beer Olympics someday.
Just relaxing and reading.
I was sick of it...that is my hair. It was starting to get a little to long, so on a rash decision I called and got a hair appointment and chopped it off. It feels so much lighter and free!

Most of our summer days were spent outside playing, riding bikes, taking trips to the playground, but mostly playing on her slide. She would spend 30 minutes at a time on this thing, and to spend 30 minutes on one thing is a BIG thing for a 2 year old. She especially loves sending her Cinderella baby down the slide.

SPRINKLER FUN!

We once again attended "El Norte" where, once again, I consumed one too many cocktails Friday night and was unable to perform at my highest level for the Beer Olympics on Saturday. Needless to say it was a great time, and I came in about 4th or 5th or something. I think I did pretty well. Oh, yes, Andrew won for like the 3rd time, no body likes him anymore.

One of my favorite things this summer was getting to be the  Matron of Honor at my best friend, Jenny's, wedding. I am so happy that Jenny found the man of her dreams in Drew, and that Andrew and I set them up. There day was filled with so much love, a gorgeous bride, friends, and plenty of drinks. We had a great time and wish them a lifetime of happiness!
The night before the wedding. We stayed up until about 4ish and had to be at the salon at 7. I'm not sure how, but we made it!

The guys the night before.
Sometimes I wonder how I got so lucky to marry such a special man.

UWO girls.

My garden turned out pretty tasty this year. I had an abundance of zucchinis, tomatoes, and corn. I originally thought that I had planted kohlrabi, but each week it kept looking more and more like cabbage instead of kohlrabi. Luckily I like cabbage and it turned out pretty tasty too. Abby loved going into the garden to pick her vegetables, where we suffered a couple causalities due to her "soft touch."

Andrew got to take a mini vacay to Baltimore to visit his friend, Mike. I'm going to go ahead and assume that they had a great time. I got to stay home with Abby for the weekend, which was fun. We took a little trip to the zoo, which she LOVES, went shopping, and hung out, a perfect Mommy-Abby weekend.

Photo
I stole these pictures off Andrews phone, for proof that they had a good time.  That's a lot of crabs.

I did manage to get one picture while at the zoo, just as proof we were there. She is watching the seals.

Just some summer fun photos.

She was insisted that they were band-aides.

Abby was sick and had to stay home for a day. She was tatted up with Cinderella tattoos by the end of the day.

She always looks so sad when she rocking a fever of 104.

Working on her stacking skills.
We were able to make it to the Minnesota State Fair again this year. Since our weekends were all booked up we decided to take an early day on Wednesday and head out to the fair. Last year Abby loved the animals and this year, I think, she like them even more. She also got her standard corn dog, which she insisted on and got to take a ride down the big slide. There was no way we were leaving without doing that, since as soon as it came in sight, you could see her face light up in excitement.

Yup, she's a mini horse, 6 hands tall.

Labor day marks the end of summer for me, since soon after the cool breeze comes, the leaves start to turn and you can smell fall in the air. I worked until 1pm on Labor Day, but it was hot and muggy out and I was determined to get Abby to the beach. When we got home we packed up and headed out to Medicine lake for some beach fun. Abby loved the water, only to her knees, and destroying castles made by her father.

A couple more random shots to sum up the summer.

Reading on a rainy day, after putting on Dad's socks.
She loves shopping! Today she told me to go to target to get her more Cinderella stickers.

Good thing the kids were asleep, looks like things were about to get out of hand.

Until next time....which hopefully is not another 2 months.
