Easter and Mother's Day Picture Dump!

I'm a little behind in getting pictures up, but late is better than never. We have had a great past month, starting with Easter and ending with Mother's Day. Easter, like always was great. We headed home to my parents in Wisconsin and participated in the annual egg hunt at ended the weekend down in Milwaukee with Andrew's family. I'll summarize Easter in pictures.

Looking through the family Easter basket. Yes, I am a 29 year old that still searches for her Easter basket.

Blowing up balloons with Grandpa, in big girl undies.

Coloring Easter Eggs!

Matching cousins.

Kaiya trying to show Abby where one of her eggs was located.

She thought that she had to put all of the eggs she had collected back on the ground.

Finding eggs with Kaiya.

Gavin about to make his first solo walk across the bridge.

Made it!! (she did not want to recross and had to be carried back across)

Best Friends walking hand in hand. (This may be one of my favorite pictures!)

Watching a movie with the cousins.

Yup, that's as good a family photo as we're going to get.

The month of May started our busy "summer" weekend plans. I'm pretty sure that there are only 2 weekends until September that we do not have something planned. I can also not count this as summer yet, since it is still 40 degrees out and there was frost last night, but at least the grass is green and the flowers are starting to bloom. My parents visited for the weekend and I had planned for awhile that we would lay brick edging around the house. We picked up all 10lb 228 bricks from the store at 9am and finished the whole project at 4pm. My mom took the task of watching Abby for the day, while Andrew, I, and my dad dug, leveled and laid the bricks. Yes, I did lay most of the brick, although there are no pictures of me. Andrew does not take pictures, but believe me I did a lot of the work of laying bricks. I did not dig. I am extremely happy with the way it turned out, but if we had to do it again I'd rent a edging trench digger machine (which I learned from a recent patient that it would only cost about $50 to rent for a day).

Sunday marked Mother's Day. It was special to once again have my Mother here and celebrate together. We packed up early in the AM and headed over the Florian Gardens in Eau Claire for lunch with the extended family and Abby's great grandma. It was great to have everyone together and Abby had a wonderful time smelling all the flowers.

Yup, she picked one of the flowers off.

Great Grandma and her all her great grandchildren.

And to sum it up the following are just a couple random pictures from the past month from my phone.

Practicing to be just like mom! :)

I don't know how she gets herself into these situations.
