Last weekend I met up with some great college roommates in the Wisconsin Dells. We thought that it would be a great time. You know, end of July...hottest time of the summer.......it was 58. It was cold! And to boycott the weather I decided that I was not going to bring any type of long sleeve shirt or sweatshirt. I should have thought that through a little more, good thing we weren't outside too much, except for when we went to Noah's Ark. Yes, we went to Noah's Ark, America's Largest Waterpark, when it was 58 degrees outside. Since we had already bought our tickets we did not want to waste our money by not going, so we put our swimsuits on and headed on down to the waterpark. We could barely take our towels off, let alone just thinking of getting in the water, sent chills down our already frozen legs. Luckily for us, Noah's Ark rents wet suits. Best Idea Of the Day!!! We definitely looked ridiculous in them, but so did all the other people who were wearing them, who I will only assume also did not want their money to go to waste. It turned out, those things are pretty warm and we had a great day at the water park in 58 degree weather. I love that our little get together has turned into a yearly occurrence. We had such a great time and I hope that we continue to do this every year!!
This week Andrew is in Ireland for work, and my mom is out helping me take care of Abby while I am at clinical. I'm so glad she is here, it makes it so much easier when there are 2 people watching my little sassy pants. This week Abby has learned how to make an elephant noise, make fish lips, and give kisses. She is not the greatest at any of these but they are too cute. Her kisses can be a little ridiculous because you never know if she is gonna come at you with an open mouth or a puckered up lips. I was also excited to get Abby's 1st year pictures in the mail this week. She did a great job on them despite Abby being sick!! We didn't get as many smiles as I would have liked but we got some great shots!!! There are quite a few of them, but thought that they all deserved to be posted. Also, I think we are doomed to never get a decent family picture, either Dexter or Abby will ruin the picture..pretty sure Dexter looks like he is going to puke in one of them...but I guess that's what's makes it unique :)
